BASED FISH MAFIA

WIRE AIRDROP

BASED FISH MAFIA

WIRE AIRDROP

1,870 ERC1155 Based Fish Mafia Wires will be airdropped in three stages to random token IDs:

12/9/21 620 Wires dropped

12/16/21 620 Wires dropped

12/25/21 630 Wires dropped

Wires can be used to mint a free Based Fish Agent. Only 1,870 Based Fish Agents in total supply!

Based Fish Mafia Wires will be minted & sent to randomly selected token IDs. Based Fish Mafia Wires will be viewable in your Metamask/OpenSea wallet as an ERC1155 token if you are selected.

Based Fish Mafia Wire Tokens will allow users to mint a Based Fish Agent for free on our website equal to the amount of wires they hold. Based Fish Mafia wires will be burned upon minting a random Based Fish Agent. There are equal amount of Based Fish Agents to Based Fish Mafia Wires (1,870) the only way to mint an agent is to burn a wire.

Chainlink VRF

Based Fish Mafia will be using Chainlink VRF to randomly select each winning token ID. Once the token ID is selected the wire is minted and sent to the holder of the chosen Based Fish Mafia or Zombie Fish Mafia token ID. For full details on Chainlink VRF read below.

In order to provide a fair outcome for the wires, we needed access to a secure random number generator (RNG) that any user could independently audit. However, RNG solutions for smart contracts require several security considerations to prevent manipulation and ensure system integrity. For instance, RNG solutions derived from blockchain data like block hashes can be exploited by miners/validators, while off-chain RNG solutions derived from off-chain APIs are opaque and don’t provide users with definitive proof about the integrity of the process.

After reviewing various solutions, we selected Chainlink VRF because it’s based on cutting-edge academic research, supported by time-tested oracle infrastructure, and secured through the generation and on-chain verification of cryptographic proofs that prove the integrity of each random number supplied to smart contracts.

Chainlink VRF works by combining block data that is still unknown when the request is made with the oracle node’s pre-committed private key to generate both a random number and a cryptographic proof. The Based Fish Mafia smart contract will only accept the random number input if it has a valid cryptographic proof, and the cryptographic proof can only be generated if the VRF process is tamper-proof. This provides our users with automated and verifiable assurances directly on-chain that the airdrops are provably fair and were not tampered with by the oracle, outside entities, or the Based Fish Mafia team.
